Las Tunas.- The doses of the Cuban vaccine candidate Abdala arrived in the province of Las Tunas for the first health intervention in a population at risk by Covid-19, mainly from the Health sector, were transferred in less than 24 hours to around eight municipalities, by workers from the Base Business Unit (UEB) Wholesale Marketing and Distribution of Medicines (Emcomed).

Idania Galano Milhet, director of the UEB, specified that they undertook the reception and dispatch of the 27,173 doses with great responsibility and complying with the safety and distribution requirements, to transport them during Saturday night and all Sunday to 25 authorized clinical sites for vaccination in the province.

They were moved at a temperature between two and eight degrees, and in this the work of the team of the refrigerated van in charge, and of the Quality specialist Riseida Pupo Parra, who was supervising the process all the time, stood out, according to her. .

When a large part of the population remained at home, enjoying Mother’s Day, workers of the Vanguadia Nacional Emcomed-Las Tunas collective efficiently transferred the doses of the vaccine candidate Abdala to their destinations, which launches the health intervention in this territory, as in others from the country.

It also meant that in that institution, located in the industrial zone of the city of Las Tunas, everything is ready to undertake the vaccination of more than 300 workers, which also include the Health Insurance Company (Emsume ), from Farmacias y Ópticas, Combiomed Tecnología Médica Digital, and Tecnosuma.
