Las Tunas.-With a delegation of 25 educators, Las Tunas participates in the International Pedagogy Congress 2023, under the principle that “A better world is possible.”
From the local delegation, 16 professionals attend in person, including a student recently graduated from the Rita Longa Pedagogical School, while another 15 do so virtually and the representation of all educational levels and territories is completed.
The provincial edition, last December, was attended by research related to education in citizen values, the professional performance of teachers in the improvement and transformation of educational systems, as well as the challenges and perspectives in teacher training.
Other topics of interest dealt with environmental education and disaster prevention, comprehensive care for children and adolescents, the organization and administration of educational institutions, and school, family, and community integration for sustainable development.
During its opening day, Pedagogía 2023 featured a keynote address by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, who discussed the main impacts of the management model based on science and innovation in the last period for the educational sector.
Pedagogy 2023 will meet until February 3 in person and virtually, to discuss the challenges and perspectives in education at a regional and global level.
