Las Tunas.-Dr. Hugo Pérez Rojas, a Cuban scientist born in Las Tunas, won the 2023 Spirit of Salam Prize, awarded by the International Center for Theoretical Physics named after Abdus Salam, a Pakistani Nobel-winning scholar in this branch of The science.
Still admired by this recognition of his work, the Senior Researcher of the Institute of Cybernetics, Mathematics and Physics (ICIMAF), and founder of its Department of Theoretical Physics, expressed that this award is recognition of his work in organizing activities that benefit young researchers and, in general, the advancement of science in a developing country.
