Las Tunas.- In the province of Las Tunas, an intensive anti-vector treatment is being carried out in areas with detection of focal points of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, which causes Dengue, a viral disease that proliferates mainly in home environments.

The technical control of the program is perfected and implemented based on the advice of epidemiologists in each health area, the follow-up from the basic work groups and the differentiated care of family doctors , determinants of compliance with epidemiology indicators.

Emphasis is also placed on identifying focal poits that normally were not surveyed and that affect the presence of this epidemic, such as pits and latrines, said the specialist in Hygiene and Epidemiology.

The completion of the workforce of vector operators, and productivity, demand and control from the chain of command, with emphasis on work at the community level.

With infestation rates of the vector below the national average, the territory joins efforts to confront Aedes Aegypti through educational intervention to reduce the behavior of Dengue, with the urgency of collective responsibility and joint work with medical assistance and epidemiologists.
