Las Tunas.-A new passenger transportation service began to be provided by the Ferrocarriles Las Tunas Base Business Unit (UEB), this Thursday, March 16, with a train that covers the route from the municipality of Colombia to Bayamo.

José Quesada Sánchez, head of the commercial group of the entity, reported that it is possible thanks to the recovery in the workshops of the territory of a motor car with a trailer that will travel on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Its return from the monument city, he said, the train will arrive at the provincial capital of Las Tunas to leave at three forty-five in the afternoon to return to Colombia where its trip ends.

“Recently, the passenger transfer service from Las Tunas to Chaparra was resumed on Vía Omaja on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the urban service in the main municipality remains stable.

“The train that goes from this province to Ciego de Ávila also continues to make its routes and work is being done on the repair of another motor car with a trailer so that, through the Provincial Transportation Company, it can begin to make two daily trips to Manatí.”
