Las Tunas.- With a unique stamp, the voices that distinguish the provincial radio station Radio Victoria, have exalted the art of locution to its maximum expression.

Every December 1st from Las Tunas the Day of the Cuban Announcer is celebrated.

El Balcón del Oriente is known for its outstanding contribution to the union, possessing a fertile school in the art of the word that fills Victoria’s dial with young representatives.

Complex times that require multiplied sacrifices, greater integrity and commitment, due to digital convergence and the epidemiological situation imposed by Covid-19.

The Day of the Cuban Announcer was instituted to honor the holding in Havana of the Second Inter-American Congress of Broadcasters, on December 1, 1954, also in remembrance of the young Jorge Luis Nieto García, who died early on.

Congratulations to the Cuban colleagues who, from their forehead, dignify such an honorable profession, always in pursuit of faithful audiences.
